Terms of service

SteadyChair is provided by Small Cove Media. By booking through SteadyChair, or by using it to run a shop, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Booking

• A booking is between you and the shop. The shop sets its services, prices, hours and cancellation policy, which are shown before you book.
• If the shop takes a card to hold a booking or charges for a missed appointment, that is shown before you book, and payments are processed by Stripe, or by the shop's own Square account.
• Give a number and email that are yours, so the shop can reach you about your booking.

Shops, owners and barbers

• Keep your sign-in to yourself, and only add people who work at your shop.
• You are responsible for the client information you put in SteadyChair and for having the right to message the people you message.
• When you connect a Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, Google Ads or Google Calendar account, you confirm it is yours or your business's to connect, and you can disconnect it at any time.
• What Small Cove Media charges a shop is the SteadyChair plan below, unless that shop has its own agreement with Small Cove Media.

Your SteadyChair plan

• The plan is charged per shop, every month, to the card you add. The price is shown on Your plan before you subscribe, and Stripe processes the payment.
• If your plan starts with a free trial, its length is shown on Your plan before you start. You add a card when you start, nothing is charged during the trial, and we email you three days before the first charge. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
• It renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Your plan; the plan stays on until the end of the month you have paid for and is not charged again.
• Payments already made are not refunded for part of a month, except where the law requires it. If a charge looks wrong, email us and we will put it right.
• If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and we let you know. A plan left unpaid may be paused.
• We will tell you at least 30 days before any change to what your shop pays.
• Nothing is charged to you or your clients to book. Deposits and card holds your shop takes go to your shop's own Stripe or Square account, never through Small Cove Media. If Small Cove Media markets your shop, its share of an online payment from a new client its ads brought comes out of that payment as it is made.
• A shop whose plan Small Cove Media covers is not charged.
• Small Cove Media only takes a share of your clients' visits if you choose its marketing yourself, on Grow. You see the setup fee and the share before you agree, and the setup fee is charged once when you start.
• If Small Cove Media markets your shop, the rest of what you owe for each month is on your Invoices page from the 1st, line by line, beside what already came out of payments, and is charged to the card you pay your plan with on the 4th. Question any line before then and nothing more is charged until we have looked at it.

Partner links

Some people share SteadyChair through a partner link and may be paid a share of what the shops they refer pay. It never changes the price a shop pays.

Fair use

Do not use SteadyChair to send spam, to break the law, to get at another shop's information, or to interfere with the service.

The service

We work to keep SteadyChair available and correct, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Small Cove Media is not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed appointment caused by an outage. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
